2013 Hot Wheels - 2003 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Nismo Z-Tune

Many thanks to Phil Riehlman, the one who responsible for this amazing cast. He designed the smaller version of the R34 Godzilla for Hot Wheels. No childish accessories or orange track specification, it was meant for pride and display. The cast itself was based on the special GT-R, Nismo Z-Tune. Nismo built the car from 20 used GT-R (R34) V-spec, each with less than 29.000 km on the clock. The cars then stripped and resprayed to "Z-Tune Silver", a special color exclusively for the Z-Tune. Nismo only produced 19 cars and put them at 290.000 US Dollars. On that time it was the most expensive Godzilla ever built, thinking that it can't exhale atomic breath and it wasn't a 150 meters beast.

Now let us compare it with the blue version from 2014 Hot Wheels - Then and Now Edition.

The blue one is even better, reminds me of Paul Walker a bit. But the major differences here is the spoiler. The red still use the plastic spoiler as a separate part while the blue was metal merges with the body, same with many recently Hot Wheels model. It does affect the way they looks. Metal spoiler always looks bigger, taller and ridiculous. Luckily, it doesn't ruin this Godzilla. I'm also glad that Hot Wheels still preserve those marvelous details at the rear.

RMZ City Toyota 86

One of my favorite cars in 2012. I was trying to find the Tomica version in many stores but never found one. So finally I pick the alternative but hey, it was very satisfying.

Unfortunately, from some news I've heard, this brand was a bit hard to find and might be they doesn't exist at all in some countries. Different with here, they are scattered everywhere. RMZ City under Uni-fortune license established their base in Hong Kong China. They are not the big player so they didn't get much attention from the collectors. What a shame because I think they create a really good miniature. I'm expecting much more model variations to see in the future but if only they can survive long enough.

Charging the '69 Chargers from Hot Wheels

I went to my friend house and see his collections. He has a nice taste to the car. But one car steal my attention, and it was a 1969 Dodge Charger from Hot Wheels with Ocala Police decal on the body. Unfortunately it was already ruined. Scratches everywhere, the decal mostly already gone and it had lost it shine. I asked him to bring the car, perhaps I could do something about it. He said yes and here the result.

I just remove the decal, covered the scratches and detailing a bit....amateur isn't it? Nevertheless, I felt that I had to buy it from him.

On my own garage, I also keep another Charger from 1969. Still fresh from last year, please welcome the Hot Wheels '69 Dodge Charger 500, an updated version from the previous normal Charger. They create this car because at 1968 they lose from the Ford Torino and Mercury Cyclone in the NASCAR. They put the car to the wind tunnel just to reveal that the tunneled rear window caused lift and the gaping mouth induced drag. So they made the rear window flush with the rest of the roof and put a 1968 Coronet grille in the front. Voila, Charger 500 was born. There are total of 500 cars were made and this is one of them.

With color-scheme same as the first Charger 500 ever made, Hot Wheels really did boom myself. Most collectors said that the Hemi decal on the door is disturbing but I decided to keep it there. It doesn't make the car looks weird by the way.

Still addicted with cottons though, but when you have two muscle cars in your hand, what else to do?

2015 Hot Wheels - '96 Nissan 180SX Type-X

This is why I loves all about Japanese automobile. A really cool fastback with sleepy eyes, somewhat sounds like an anime hero. I can't wait to see another variants of this, and might be someday Hot Wheels will put the Liberty Walk bodykit on it.

I just can't stop from take a photograph of this car. There might be thirty photos I'd take.

It has been a boring day so I went out and play with cottons.

Then in all of the sudden, my friend show up with his new Fiesta.

Honda S2000 is the most driftastic car Hot Wheels ever made. I think.
